Enjoying the moment

 Sketchy Friday #16
My project with Isabelle from Sarah Kay

Good Day

I had some inspiration yesterday, while my boy did his homework. This time a bit more girly and a bit more purple. The following challenge just gave this inspiration:
Daring Cardmakers: Ingredients - Something aperture(believe the sentiment frame will do), Blue, Something starting with P(purple), Die-cuts/punches
Crafty Catz #180 - Purple
Charisma Cardz #16 - Polka dots
Crafts4Eternity #121 - Perfect Papers - used at least 3 designer papers
Oldie but Goodie 16/4 - Make it Girly
Sketchy Friday #16 - Sketch

At first when I saw the purple challenge I had a thought of my daughter in law, that will celebrate her birthday in a week's time. She loves purple and she loves animals, then I remembered this polymer stamp from Stampavie, I have in my stash, it is called Isabelle from Sarah Kay. Almost all by stuff that I used are more than 6 month old. I used three different designer papers from my scrapbook stash. The bottom have foiled blue dots with the two shades of purple, the top one has some dots in a swirl pattern and the third one is used in the frame. The flowers are done with my X-cut dies and I folded the leaves. I used a heart circle for the sentiment frame and the used I sizzix die to cut out the centre to make it look like a frame. My boy chose the purple brads and I added some bling. The corners are done with a heart corner punch from Fiskar.

Thank you for your visit.

My project

Good Day

In a few days' time it will be Mother's day, here in South Africa and I made a special card for a very special lady namely my Mother in Law. A very special gift from God in my life. I have been blessed with my family in law and they were hand picked by God for me.
The image is from Beccy's place and was a freebie during the month of February. The sentiment is from my Desert Diva ( my sister in law). I added some rhinestones and glitter on the ribbon as well as some confetti flowers. I had a bit of difficulty in taking the photo to get the designer paper to appear on the photo. Oval dies from Sizzix and the label from Spellbinder.

Celebrating Spring

Good Morning

I'm playing with A Digi Darla's image called scallop flowers. I've coloured it about a month ago and then my to do list change suddenly. I've also played with my spellbinder die-cuts....just love them. Then I saw this woven card technique over at Cards & Scrap blog. I was so beautiful, I just had to try it. I've only used ribbon instead in my centre piece. A piece lace of from my stash, golden peel-off and some rhinestones finished my card.

Storms will pass

Good Day

If there is one thing of Africa, then it's their thunderstorms. The smell of the first drops on the dust, after all the majestic thunder and lightning orchestra - is something you cannot explain to anybody, unless they have experienced it. Then the promise of the rainbow, that all storms will pass.
This rainbow digi is from Back to Paper and is the second of four digis of this round's progressive challenge over at CDAC. I got some inspiration by some of the glitter challenges and added some puff paint on the clouds. The sentiment I've found on Facebook. The border is my latest edition from Spellbinder and is called A2 Locking Loops.

Style is eternal

Good Day

This is a card I made for someone special celebrating her 17th birthday soon. As teenager there are certain things that just have more priority in life, like shopping, shoes and style. I got a Big Shot and today I made time to play with all my new goodies. The girl, sentiment & bag stamps are from Hero Art - Sizzix framelit set and it is available in a stamp & die-cut set from Sizzix. The border is done with a Bracket Border One from Spellbinder. The shoes was a freebie from Digistamp4Joy which I used a square Sizzix Die-cut to cut it it out. The DP is from my scrapbook stash. I stamped the bags on a piece of Brazzille Cardstock and used wet embossing to give it a baggy look.
For a change I'm joining some new challenges:
A Die for a Sketch #11 - Sketch
Digistamp4Joy #64 - Anything goes
Moving along with times  - Inspired by a song - Girls just wanna have fun - Cindy Lauper

My project with a Digi my World

Seems a little sketchy

Good Day

Autumn is in full "bloom". Nature is changing in all the warm colours of orange and brown and there is a chill in the air. Not that I mind about the cooler temperature.
It took a time to get into gear this week, since my to-do-list is endless currently, so I am not sure where to start. The Outlawz social challenge blog finally forced me to make this card. I've used Pizza man from Digi my World. My DP is from the Serenade collection from Bo Bunny and the rest is from my stash.

Challenges I'm joining:
The Outlawz Tuesday colour challenge with twist of make it masculine
The Outlawz Twisted Thursday add food to your project
Digital Tuesday #205 - Boys
Crafty Creations #217 - No squares
Seems a little Sketchy #36 - Sketch

Paper Craft Planet Sketch Challenge

Good Day

This card came together this afternoon and I had to finish it, since I am not available the rest of the weekend. The umbrella is from Nana Vic, whom is sponsoring the new CDAC freebie challenge. I had time to go through my e-mails and Priscilla joined it into my invitation for the new round for the next three months. This time however, we have four digis. So, with each project you finish, you qualify for the next one. I have printed the digi on acetate and added some glitter. On the back piece of paper I used a Fiskar raindrops emboss template and then added some clear heat embossing to make it stand out. The sentiment is computer generated.

Challenges I was guided by:
The Outlawz Tuesday Colour Challenge - With twist embossing
CDAC freebie challenge cdacpc.nv digi 1 - Nana Vic
Charisma Cardz #13 - Use acetate
Shelly Images TTT - Use scallops
Sassy Studio Challenge #171 - Use something wet
Digistamp4Joy #64 - Anything goes

Escape

Good day

As promised I have included some photos from Swaziland.
The Geckos of Swaziland - I took a larger image to show how big it is according the the hinge of the door. It was the first time I saw it this big. At home we have small ones not bigger than 7-10 cm.

This is a image of a gecko's foot. They are part of the lizard family that loves the warmer weather.

A photo of the Mbuluzi river

Our kitchen for the weekend.

Now for my project. My title is "Escape" and I really escaped cleaning just to make this card on Tuesday. Since then it was a bit hectic, but today I've closed my craft room's door and decided to escape from the house to post this. Hopefully I'll have time to play a bit too. The image Canary Love from Saturated Canary also gives me a feeling of escape to where you feel loved.

My project.

My DP with the glitter effect is from the Special Delivery pack by Helz Cuppleditch. The corner punch is from EK success, the diecut " Damask Accent" from Spellbinder and the rest from my stash.

Challenges I used as guide:
Craft you Passion #156 - Onesies - 1 Sketch, 1 image, 1 patterned paper, 1 sentiment, 1 embellishment
Top Tip Tuesday # 98 - Girls and/or boys come out to play
Lexi's creations #87- Punches/diecuts
